Payment

You may pay your tuition at the first lesson of the month. Your planned lesson time will be secured upon receipt of payment. If a lesson time needs to be moved, follow the cancellations/reschedule procedure so that you do not lose the planned lesson. Payment may be made by check, cash, Paypal or person-to-person payment via your bank or Zelle (send payment to zhiyue@bu.edu).

Cancellations

1-day cancellation notice either by phone or email is needed to qualify for a makeup lesson. Unfortunately, I cannot make exceptions to be fair to everyone. If your child is sick or something comes up last minute, please notify me as soon as possible to see if I can try to accommodate.

Reschedule

Rescheduling for a makeup lesson must be done with-in one day of scheduling the original makeup lesson. No-shows do not qualify for a makeup lesson. In case you are going away or need to reschedule multiple lessons in a given month please let me know as soon as possible so that we can find a suitable time slot for the makeup lessons.

Tardiness

If a student arrives after their scheduled lesson time, there is no guarantee for an extension of the lesson, especially if there are students after you. However, if I am late, the lessons will be held for their entire length.

Practice

Practice is essential for improving any skill, even the violin. So the bare minimum once a day at least 15 minutes(or one-piece, one assignment) Practice is very important. The student will improve very slowly.
